Dear Family and Friends; During this joyous season celebrating Christmas and hopefully a better 2021, I am saddened to inform you of the passing of my dear husband of 56 years. Cliff passed away peacefully Saturday 12-12-2020 of sepsis, Parkinson's Disease and dementia. In the last year and a half Cliff's Parkinson's progressed and his athletic body declined. Cliff developed edema and began falling leaving many open wounds on his already compromised body. A mass will be celebrated at our local St Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Townsend in January of 2021, we might be streaming the mass on Facebook, Zoom or such but plans are still pending waiting for the priest to reply with a firm date. We can post this information as it firms up. Our Church can only seat 30 people so attendance will be limited by invitation only but will be able to be viewed virtually. A military service is in the planning stage also....after the pandemic has changed course for the better to allow safe travel. This service will be held at USMC Miramar National Cemetery near San Diego, CA hopefully in 2021. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, a donation may be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's, the Port Townsend Food Bank or the St. Vincent de Paul Charitable Organization at your local Catholic Church Wishing you and your loved ones happiness and good health and hope for a better 2021.
