Frances Viola Horan

Frances Viola Horan passed away at the age of 86 in Ocean Shores, WA on February 25, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Frances was born in Napoleon, ND to Albert Kroll and Mary Hoff on October 10, 1937. Later in life, Frances married her husband of many years, Russell Horan I. Eventually they made their way to Seattle, WA where Frances worked and then retired after 34 years with the Boeing company. Frances settled down in Quilcene, WA where she lived for over 30 years. Frances loved helping her community and spending time with her family. In Frances’ free time, she enjoyed playing pinochle and hand and foot with her friends.

Frances is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Diane & Kim Harrington of Ocean Shores, WA and her son Russell Horan II of Auburn, WA; grandchildren Billy (Jessica) Harrington, Candis (Bobby) Kaaiwela, Jennifer (Johnny) Bennett, Danny (Gina) Harrington, Crystal (Zach) Padilla, Rocky Horan, and Josh (Peter) Altier; great-grandchildren Alex, Lucy, Lexi, Ryder, Kini, and Kyle; and brothers Ervin (Kathy) Kroll of California, Eugene (Yvonne) Kroll of Colorado; and sister Betty Lowman of Nevada.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Horan; father Albert Kroll and mother Mary Hoff; brothers Gilbert, Alvin, Wilburt, Raymond, Marvin, and Oscar Kroll; and sisters Delores Oberlander and Alice Chio.

Frances will be deeply missed by her family and friends that knew her.
