Harold Coleman Rennick, age 93, died peacefully August 9, 2020 at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton following a brief illness. He was born in Big Sandy, Montana on June 10, 1927 to Charles & Mable (Avery) Rennick. A longtime resident of Seattle, he and his wife, Effie, moved to Port Hadlock, WA more than 30 years ago. Harold was a fun, creative guy. He made canes and walking sticks with unusual shapes and designs, ready to help anyone with a need for one. He carved totem poles, created yard art out of discarded tools and was an avid gardener. He took great pride in his design of flower beds, as well as flower pots. He was a faithful volunteer at the Tri-Area Senior Center for several years, always adding joy to dinner. Harold was deeply honored to receive the Tri-Area Senior Royalty crown at the 2012 Rhody Festival. His Family and many friends will miss his keen sense of humor, creativity and especially his family stories of “the old days.” We all will cherish the joyful memories of the time we shared. Harold was the youngest of 9 children and was preceded in death by all 8 siblings and his wife, Effie. Survivors include his son, Patrick, grandson Race, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Private inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Chimacum. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harold’s name may be made to your favorite charity.
