Hyun Hi "Katie" Nichols
Born Aug 7 1929, passed away peacefully Sept 30, 2023 with her son by her side.
She was predeceased by her husband James R Nichols July 2002.
She was born in Korea. During the demarcation process (separation of North and South Korea) She found herself on the south side of the line with many of her family members on the north side. In spite of this hardship, she eventually met and married her husband (US Army) and immigrated to the United States where they settled and had a son. Katie was a fierce, strong woman who dearly loved her family more than anything.
She is survived by her son Jon L Nichols (wife Carolynn), her Grandson James R Nichols (wife Alicia), her nieces and nephew: Ok Yu (Korea), Mi Quinton(Texas), and Jin Yu (New York). She also has 3 step grandchildren Casey Hubert, Lisa Hubert, and Kimberly Cote. She was blessed with 11 great grandchildren!
