Patricia Evonne Doan, aged 87, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2024. Known as Pat to her family and friends, was born in Sequim, Washington, February 5, 1937, to Robert and Kathleen Grant. She was one of four children. Pat attended Sequim schools, including the historic Dungeness School.
Pat met her husband of 51 years, Wesley Doan, while he was stationed at the Sequim Milwaukee Railroad depot, which happened to be very close to her childhood home. Pat and Wes started out married life in Port Angeles, WA, before moving to uptown Port Townsend in 1965. Pat and Wes enjoyed many years of traveling with family and friends, some of which were Disneyland, Reno, and Graceland, as she was an avid Elvis fan. Pat especially enjoyed going for walks and gardening. Mostly a homemaker, Pat also worked at a local garden center, known as Eccles Garden center, as well as selling Avon. Pat and Wes had two children, Sandra and Michael.
Pat is survived by her two sisters, Denise Edgington and Barbara June; brother, Robert Grant; her two children, Sandra and her husband, Ken Melheim, Michael and his wife, Angie Doan; four grandchildren, Travis Melheim, Heidi Sanders, Matthew Doan and Rachel Doan; and five beautiful great-grandchildren.
Pat was interned beside her husband, Wes, at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Port Townsend.
