Richard Joseph Humphrey 4-10-1993 to 5-11-2021 Richard (Ricky) Joseph Humphrey passed away on Tuesday May 11th 2021 with his fiance Justina, her mother, Maria, his brother Keith and sister Amanda by his side. He was born on April 10th 1993 here in Port Townsend Washington, to Kristie May Abendroth and Darryl Earl Humphrey. Soon after he became a big brother to his sister Amanda Morris and brother Keith Morris. Denny Morris was Ricky's dad. Mike Smith was another father figure for Ricky. He taught him how to be a hard worker and they enjoyed fishing, hunting, crabbing and much more together. Ricky met his fiance Justina almost 10 years ago through mutual friends. They fell in love soon after and Justina's family grew to also be his immediately. They will cherish every holiday and family dinner they had the opportunity to share with Ricky. He knew he was stuck with us when Grammy & Papa started to send him cards in the mail and magazine subscriptions (their tradition with every family member). Their friend groups also blended quite quickly and Justina believes that those friendships are one of his greatest gifts to her. Justina & Ricky shared many of life's milestones being that they met so young. Both of them didn’t have drivers licenses when they met and would ride their pedal bikes to have picnic dates on the beach. They were engaged to be wed on August 28th 2021. Ricky's profession at the time was installing flooring throughout homes and businesses in the County. Ricky was a phenomenal cook that could create spectacular meals that he thought of on his own. Him and his buddies loved getting together and hosting big dinner parties. Ricky & Justina loved being outside. They enjoyed sports, mainly CO-ED Softball, hiking, camping and backpacking together. He was an avid video game player and his best friends claim he was the best! He was the best Uncle Rick to all of the special babies in their lives and every pet could tell he was a good human. He would do anything to help and protect the people he loved. Music brought him so much happiness and he spent many nights singing and dancing with Justina in the living room. Ricky lived life to the fullest and showed people it was ok to let go of their fears. Ricky left an impact on many and this community shares a strong love for him. We love and miss you so much Ricky. Even though you are not here physically we know you will always be with us. We hope wherever you are there are a lot of cold beers and smoked meats.
