Ruth Patterson Porter

Ruth Patterson Porter of Port Townsend, WA passed away peacefully on Jan. 8, 2021. She was born in Butler, PA to Clarence Patterson and Ethel Patterson (nee Giles) on June 2, 1930. She married Merle Porter of Butler PA and they had two daughters. Ruth loved being with her family and friends, camping, hiking, biking, playing golf and swimming. She was a volunteer with many organizations. She dedicated her life to helping others and treated everyone with compassion and respect. She was also a devout member of the Presbyterian Church USA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Patterson and Ethel Patterson Black and her husband Merle. She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Sid) Rawlings, Susan (Al) Latham, grandchildren Jesse Latham and Elena Latham, one great grandchild, Sofia Latham, her brother George (Mernie) Patterson, nephew Greg (Suzanne) Patterson, niece Janet (Neal) Huplit and many cousins and friends.
