Susan (Susie) Lynne Ball Warren passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was blessed to be surrounded by friends as she gained her angel wings.
Born December 2, 1952 in Tacoma, Washington to parents Michael Ball and Doris Steinseifer Ball.
She is preceded in death by her Gram Ethel, Gram Maimie, parents Mike and Doris Ball, husband Rich Warren, and brothers James Ball and Michael Ball. She is survived by her son Casey Hammond, Sisters in law Deborah Ball and Kathleen Ball, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Susie was a true free spirit, a bundle of energy, and was fiercely independent from the moment she was born. She cherished the people she loved in her life. Susie’s plethora of pets were her safe harbor. They gave her great joy and unconditional love. She returned that kindred love and spirit tenfold.
Susie was proud to be a talented seamstress, professional barber, fabulous cook, and an insightful artist. She had a unique connection with people with special needs and disabilities. She gave of herself to these populations with patience, kindness, time and humor whether it was cutting their hair or just being a friend.
And that laugh! The laugh that could light up any room, any situation, and any heart. The laugh that will be missed. Anyone who was fortunate to be on the receiving end of her humor, her laughter, her wise soul, and her generosity know they have been gifted.
Susie was never one to be boxed in or to color within the lines. She loved the forest, the creatures, the land and all nature. Her independence, generosity, tenacity and wild spirit will be missed by those who loved her well.
May she swim with the orcas, run with the elk, and fly free with the beautiful birds she loved.
Rest in Peace dear Susie. Wagons Ho!
